whoPastry Chef Sweki Chen is a professional with over 8 years of experience. Coming to Canada in 2009, Sweki was immediately enticed by the diversity and availability of all cultures in the True North, most of which were the myriad new flavours. Her passion for baking has followed her throughout her time in university for a degree in Media and Design Arts. Her love for travel around the world has brought her to places such as Paris, Japan, Korea and Singapore and their unique pastry craft. As an alumni of the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, she has been in esteemed places such as West, Thierry’s, as well as Coast by the Glowbal Group. Now Minus Cake is going to move to a commissary kitchen to focus on whole cakes and bring more delicate flavours for cake lovers!
